Restoration of degraded Local Forest reserves in Nyakigumba and Nyakinoni in Bunyangabu district was implemented by Tooro Botanical Gardens (TBG) with support from Ashden Trust UK. TBG implemented a project to restore 26 hectares of degraded forest reserves of Bunyangabu district and improve the livelihoods of the local communities adjacent to the forests.
