TBG is an active member of civil societies and networks at the International, National and Regional levels. At the National level, TBG collaborates with The Ministry of Water and Environment, National Forestry Authority (NFA), National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), Makerere University, Mountains of the Moon University and the Local governments of Tororo, Katakwi, Kabarole, Kyenjojo, Ibanda, Kagadi, Kamwenge, Mbale, and Mpigi. At the International level, TBG collaborates with a number of conservation bodies such as Ecological Restoration Alliance (ERA), Botanical Gardens Conservation International (BGCI), Plant Agenda (PA), International Union for Conservation of Nature, Save Our Species , Kwataniza and OBUMU and Global Genome Biodiversity Network (GGBN).

Other partners that TBG has worked with include Darwin Initiative (DI), Ashden Trust – UK, Mitsubishi Foundation, North Carolina Zoo, Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
